NFL Spread Betting GuideSupremacyExplanation: Predict the margin, in points, one team will beat another by.Example: New England / New York Giants 11 - 13 This quote says the margin, in points, that New England will beat the Giants by is between 11 - 13. If you think that New England will win by more than 13 points, you would go higher (buy). If you think that New England will win by less than 11 points or not win at all, you would go lower (sell). The Giants win 17 - 14 so the market settles at -3 or 3 to the Giants. If you had bought at 13, you would lose your stake multiplied by 16 (13 - -3) or (13 + 3) If you had sold at 11, you would win your stake multiplied by 14 (11 - -3) or (11 + 3)
Total PointsExplanation: Predict the total number of points scored in a particular match.Example: San Diego v NY Jets - Total Points: 40 - 43 This quote says the total number of points scored in the game will be between 40 - 43. If you think it will be more than 43, you go higher (buy). If you think it will be less than 40, you go lower (sell). The total number of points scored in the game was 36. If you had bought at 43, you would lose your stake multiplied by 7 (43 - 36) If you had sold at 40, you would win your stake multiplied by 4 (40 - 36)
