Spread Betting Explained
Spread Betting Guide
Spread betting is an exciting, fast-growing and stimulating form of
betting, which offers the client a huge selection of different options
to those offered in the fixed odds markets. Although there are a huge
variety of new opportunities for sophisticated bets, in essence it's
exceptionally simple:
Spreadex makes a prediction on the outcome of a sporting or financial
event. This might range from how many points a team will score in the
Premiership to where the UK 100 index will be in three months time. You
consider our predictions and if you think we're too low, you would go
high (Buy) - if you think we are too high you would go low (Sell). You
nominate your stake - and you win/lose the difference between the actual
result and our prediction multiplied by your stake. See below for
examples of how this works.
Spread betting with Spreadex comes with a serious package of exceptional
benefits:
- Betting in-running (betting while the event is in play)
- Tax-free profits*
- Adds a totally new dimension to sports - when did you last watch
football and add up the shirt numbers of the goal scorers or cheer the
amount of corners in a match?!
- Online sports betting allowing you to bet on sporting events from your
PC
- Freephone access to sports and financial trading rooms
- Online account access
(*Tax treatment depends on the individual circumstances of each client
and may be subject to change in the future.)
And that's not all.
Unlike conventional share dealing with a stockbroker, where your capital
is immediately tied up once you purchase the shares, with spread betting
you can take a position on credit. (Subject to status).
