Cricket Spread Betting Guide

Supremacy

Explanation: Predict who will win a one day match, and by what margin. Teams are awarded one point per run if winning by a number of runs, or 10 points per wicket if winning by a number of wickets.

Example: Australia/England 25 - 35

This quote says that, using the above scoring criteria that Australia will beat England by between 25 35 runs or by 2.5 3.5 wickets.

If you think Australia will win by more than 35 points, you would go higher (buy).

If you think they will win by less than 35 points or lose, you go lower (sell).

England win by two wickets. The market therefore settles at -20 or 20 to England.

If you had bought at 35, you would lose your stake multiplied by 55 (35 - -20) or (35 + 20)

If you had sold at 25, you would win your stake multiplied by 45 (25 - - 20) or (25 + 20)

England's total runs for the innings is 215

If you had bought at 260, you would lose your stake multiplied by 45 (260 - 215)

England's total runs for the first 15 overs of the game is 85

If you had bought at 70, you would win your stake multiplied by 15 (85 - 70)

If you had sold at 65, you would lose your stake multiplied by 20 (85 - 65)

If you had bought at 67, you would win your stake multiplied by 31 (98 - 67)

If you had sold at 60, you would lose your stake multiplied by 38 (98 - 60)

Sri Lanka lose their third wicket on 136 runs.

If you had bought at 120, you would win your stake multiplied by 16 (136 - 120)
